Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

1. Who we are

Lateral (the “Service”) is operated by Vesper Tech, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Vesper,” “we,” “us”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Service.

2. What we collect

Account information. When you sign in, we collect your work email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile image. You may also provide your role, company domain, and language preferences during onboarding.

Practice and usage data. We store the roleplay scenarios you create, your practice sessions (including transcripts, audio recordings, duration, and AI-generated feedback and scores), and basic usage statistics such as session counts and streaks.

Company and prospect context. To personalize roleplays, we store and generate information about your company and companies you practice selling to, including domain names, product summaries, and logos derived from public sources.

Calendar data (optional). If you connect Google Calendar, we access meeting metadata (such as titles, times, descriptions, attendees, and locations) to suggest roleplays based on your schedule. OAuth tokens are managed by our integration provider; we do not store your Google password.

Demo use. If you try the Service without an account, some information may be stored locally in your browser until you sign up, at which point it may be imported into your account. Any spoken practice you run during a demo is still recorded and stored by our voice provider, ElevenLabs, as described in “AI and voice processing” and “Data retention and deletion” below.

Communications. If you submit a demo request or feedback, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, and message).

Technical data. We automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and interactions with the Service.

3. How we use it

We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the Service; authenticate you; generate and grade AI roleplay sessions; personalize practice scenarios; communicate with you about the Service; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI and voice processing

The Service uses artificial intelligence and voice technology to simulate sales conversations, design scenarios, enrich company information, and evaluate your practice sessions. Your voice and conversation content may be transmitted to and processed by our AI and voice providers for these purposes. AI-generated feedback is for practice only and may be inaccurate or incomplete.

Spoken conversations are powered by ElevenLabs. When you talk with the AI buyer, the audio recording and transcript of that conversation are created and stored by ElevenLabs on their systems, including for practice you run as a guest before creating an account. How long this content is kept, and what we can and cannot delete, is explained in “Data retention and deletion” below.

5. Service providers

We rely on third-party providers to run the Service, including:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting
  • Google — sign-in and, if you choose, calendar access
  • Composio — integration layer for connected accounts such as Google Calendar
  • ElevenLabs — real-time voice conversations, transcripts, and audio
  • Anthropic — AI for scenario design, company enrichment, and session grading
  • Resend — transactional email (such as sign-in codes)
  • Logo.dev — company name and logo lookup
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • FullStory (if enabled) — session analytics and replay
  • Feeder (if enabled) — in-app feedback collection

These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. We share only what is needed to provide the Service.

6. Opting out of session replay

If we use FullStory, you can opt out of session recording at any time by visiting https://www.fullstory.com/optout/. Opting out applies across sites that use FullStory.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and power analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

8. Data retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may disconnect integrations (such as Google Calendar) at any time through your account settings.

Deleting your account. You can permanently delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you do, we delete the personal data and content associated with your account from our systems — including your profile, the roleplay scenarios you created, your practice sessions (transcripts, audio references, and scores), and your connected integrations. This action is irreversible.

Voice recordings held by ElevenLabs. Our spoken conversations are powered by ElevenLabs. When you talk with the AI buyer, the audio recording and transcript are created and stored by ElevenLabs on their own systems. We are not able to delete this content from ElevenLabs; it is kept and managed by ElevenLabs under its own privacy policy and retention practices. This applies to every conversation, including practice you run as a guest or trial without an account, and it remains the case after you delete your account. Deleting your account removes your information from our systems, as described above, but it does not remove recordings or transcripts that ElevenLabs holds.

We may also retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, or maintain routine backups for a reasonable period.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from the Service.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version takes effect when posted to this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
